I recently had the pleasure of staying at the W Punta De Mita resort and I can confidently say that it was an experience of a lifetime. This luxurious resort is truly a 5-star establishment. From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming and attentive, making me feel like a valued guest.

The resort itself is beautifully designed, merging modern aesthetics with traditional touches that pay homage to the local culture. My room was spacious and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed, state-of-the-art facilities, and a stunning view of the ocean.

The room I was given was literally about 30 steps from the ocean itself, included a personal pool and sitting area and featured floor to ceiling patio doors that opened all the way up, creating and indoor/outdoor experience!

Just when I thought the best part of this room was the personal plunge pool in the back, I discovered the private outdoor jacuzzi tub area, truly a masterpiece for someone who loves a good soak!

The dining options were exceptional, with a variety of restaurants offering a wide range of cuisines. Each meal was a culinary delight, prepared with fresh, local ingredients and presented with artistic flair.

I did my best to order almost everything off of the menus, because along with traveling, I love to indulge in local food.

The pork bao buns at The Spice Market were incredible, as was pretty much everything else I ordered from the Asian inspired menu, be sure to try out the cauliflower dumplings too!

Brekfasts were my favorite part of my W Punta de Mita foodie journey, with the Huevos Veracruz being something I ordered more than 3 times, the Mexican Eggs Benedict were a close second.

If you’re looking for something on the lighter side, you can’t go wrong with a plate of fresh local fruit and the super tasty Bahia Bowl.

When hanging out by the pool or down by the beach, the best way to stay hydrated is by sipping on some W branded coconuts, which were also super fresh and refreshing.

Ordering lunch by the pool was also always quick and really tasty, and it was also nice to end lunch with a little passionfruit ice cream on the beach!

Beyond the accommodations and dining, the resort offers a variety of activities to keep guests entertained. I particularly enjoyed the spa, which offered a variety of treatments that left me feeling rejuvenated, and the private beach, which was the perfect place to relax and soak up the sun.

If you’re looking for something on the spiritual side of things, you can opt to take part in a Cacao Ceremony, which was performed by a local mother daughter duo and is truly something special.

For those looking for a little more activity, surfing and other water sports were available and trust me, the waves in front of the hotel are pretty epic. Hang ten and all that sort of stuff! I even got up on my board a few times!

Another great place to soak up the sun, sit back and read a book, or indulge in some delicious food is by the adult only pool, it also makes the best place to catch the epic sunsets.

The highlight of my stay, however, was the exceptional customer service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure I had a memorable experience, catering to my every need with a smile.

I would highly recommend the W Punta De Mita resort to anyone seeking a luxury getaway. It offers an unmatched blend of comfort, elegance, and genuine hospitality that will make your stay unforgettable!
